On my first visit to Ireland, staying in the Youth Hostel in Ennis, I met a guitarist from the US, and we spent a pleasant morning talking music and swapping tunes in a sunny room overlooking a trout-filled stream. Bill from Seattle introduced me to a guitar tuning I didnt know (DADGAD, very common in celtic music), and, back to my apartment in Dalston, London, I spent some time exploring it. This tune was a result of that. Originally called "Meeting Bill From Seattle in Ennis", it reminds me of a tiny stream flowing and growing on its seawards journey, hence the new name.
